- Each team comprising of 3-5 members should come up with fresh insights and ideas on how to make our company sponsor an iconic leading brand while adhering to the theme “GREENNOVATION: Catalyzing the Dawn for Sustainable Economic Development.” All teams will also be required to attend the idea generation symposium on 7 January 2012 to further enhance their business plans and generated ideas. Registration fee is Php 60 for public schools and Php 80 for private schools.
1. For the elimination round, participating teams will be required to submit their proposals with the following guidelines
- Papers must be sent in PDF format to [email protected] on or before January 19, 2012. It must not exceed 5 pages, excluding appendices
- Paper must be in letter size (8.5” x 11”)
- The subject of the email and the name of the file must be "Idea Generation 2012 - <Chosen Team name>"
- An e-mail or text message will be sent to the participant once UP OBEM receives the papers.
- Finalists will be contacted through mobile number or e-mail to explain the final round of the competition. Also, the name of the schools who qualified for the final round will be posted on our website www.economix2012.weebly.com on January 23, 2012.
2. The following outline is recommended:
Situation Analysis (Analysis of the need/opportunity)
o What is the need/problem you are addressing?
o Why is it important to solve this?
Consumer Analysis (The target market)
o Who is your consumer?
o What is he/she like? What does he/she do?
o What is his/her problem?
o Why did you choose this market?
Communication Strategy
o What is your big idea?
o What is your message?
o What makes it different from other campaigns?
o How does it answer your identified need/problem?
o How will you reach your target market?
3. The submitted business plans will be screened. The top 10 finalists shall move on to the Final Round.

Finals
- Each of the ten finalists must come up with a 1 minute video presentation which will then summarize their business plan proposals. All videos should be submitted on or before January 29, 2012.
- All videos will be presented on January 30, 2012 during the convention.
- After which, they will all be uploaded on our official Facebook account for public viewing and online voting.
- The online voting will commence January 31, 2012 (12:00NN) until February 5, 2012 (11:59PM).
- On February 6, 2012, the videos shall again be played before each team's presentation.
- Each team will then be given 7 minutes to present their works and another 7 minutes to defend it in a Q&A with the judges.
